I began my career journey believing I wanted to become a nurse in Obstetrics, during this process I became a Certified Nursing Assistant, and later realized this was not the job for me. I was still however fascinated about the birth process and all the amazing things that come with being a nurse in this field. I switched my major in college and found my true passion for teaching. I have a degree in early childhood education, and specialize in infant and toddler development.  I love teaching and working with families, however something in my life was missing. It is in my nature to support and help others, especially during significant times in their lives, I had a void in my life ever since I left the hospital. I came across the Doula Alliance and knew this was what I was meant to do. By becoming a Doula I have brought all my passions together. The void in my life has been filled by supporting families through the amazing phase of pregnancy, labor/ delivery and post partum. I have found that I can help, support, and educate families in this amazing and intimate time in their lives.

Being a Doula is not my job, it is my mission.
